EPL: Man United denied victory as Arsenal sink Chelsea

Arsenal defeated Chelsea 2-1 in a thrilling London derby, while Everton snatched a dramatic 2-2 draw against Manchester United as the Premier League produced two compelling encounters on Sunday.

TheNewsGuru (TNG) reports a t the Emirates Stadium, Chelsea made a flying start when Morgan Rogers put the visitors ahead inside the opening two minutes.

Arsenal responded and eventually drew level through Kai Havertz before Martin Ødegaard completed the comeback to give the champions a 2-1 victory.

The result maintained Arsenal’s strong start to the campaign, while Chelsea were left to rue missed opportunities after failing to protect their early advantage.

Earlier at Hill Dickinson Stadium, Manchester United appeared on course for victory against Everton after twice taking the lead.

Bryan Mbeumo opened the scoring for United after the break before Tyrique George levelled for Everton in the 83rd minute.

Benjamin Šeško then restored United’s advantage with an 88th-minute header, seemingly putting Michael Carrick’s side within touching distance of three points.

But Everton produced a stunning late response.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles, making his Everton debut, struck from around 35 yards in the sixth minute of stoppage time to earn the hosts a 2-2 draw.

The result extended Everton’s unbeaten start to the season, while United were left frustrated after surrendering victory so late in the contest.
