Australian Salafi scholar Wissam “Abu Ousayd” Haddad said in a Friday, June 10, 2022 sermon that was posted on the Instagram page of Al-Madina Dawah Centre form Sydney, that Muslims who claim that homosexuality is permitted in Islam are “sick people” and apostates who should go to Hell….
Abu Ousayd: “It is upon us to follow the rules set by Allah, and his messenger Muhammad without mushing them up, without compromise, without twisting them, and without changing them to fit in anyone’s agenda. We follow Islam, and yes, in Islam we do not hide from the fact that homosexuality under the shari’a — after being judged with the Quran and the sunnah by an Islamic judge, in an Islamic court, in Islamic lands — is punishable by death. We should not hide away from this, it is the deal of Allah.

“The idea that being a homosexual is okay in Islam, being persistent on this major sin, being proud of it, calling to it, promoting it, making it permissible, going against the textual evidence from the Quran and the sunnah is [unintelligible]. And a person who does so has clearly apostated from the Din of Allah. Furthermore, for those sick individuals who want to change Islam, and compromise and make it fit into their society, I say to you, you are free to leave the religion of Allah, we are in no need of you.
