The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Wole Oluyede, came second with 8 votes, while the Action Democratic Party (ADP) candidate, Ayodeji Ojo, recorded just 1 vote.

Governor Speaks on Election Conduct
Earlier, Governor Oyebanji expressed satisfaction with the overall conduct of the governorship election across the state, describing the process as peaceful and largely orderly.
He made the remarks after casting his vote alongside his wife at Polling Unit 003, Oyebanji Compound, RA 06, Ekiti West Local Government Area.

Despite the generally peaceful exercise, some polling units experienced technical challenges with electronic voter accreditation devices, which affected the speed of the process in the early hours.

The devices reportedly struggled to properly capture the details of some voters, leading to delays in accreditation.
Reacting to the development, Oyebanji urged voters to remain calm and patient, assuring that electoral officials were working to resolve the issues and ensure a smooth voting process.
He encouraged residents across the state to continue participating in the election peacefully, despite the minor technical setbacks recorded in some locations.
