BREAKING: ADC Records First Victory In Ekiti Governorship Election [SEE RESULT] – #EkitiDecides2026
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has secured its first polling unit victory in the ongoing Ekiti State governorship election, signaling an early boost for the party as results begin to trickle in from across the state.
The ADC emerged victorious at the Ajagbala Hall Polling Unit in Okeruku Ward 02, located in Ikere Local Government Area.
According to the result sheet sighted by our correspondent, the ADC polled 39 votes to defeat the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), which garnered 29 votes. The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) finished third with 17 votes.
The result is one of the first indications of the voting pattern in the election, with collation ongoing in several parts of the state.
Earlier in the day, the ADC governorship candidate, Dare Bejide, raised concerns over the conduct of the poll, alleging that some of his supporters were subjected to violence and intimidation.
Despite the allegations, voting and vote counting continued in many polling units across the state, while party agents and election observers closely monitored the process.
Results from different polling units have continued to emerge as voters await the outcome of the keenly contested governorship election.
