Ahead of the 2027 general election, youths of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State have called for greater unity among party members to strengthen the party’s grassroots structure.
The call was made at a youth summit organized by the APC youth leader in the local government to promote party unity, youth development, and responsible political participation.
Speaking at the event, Mustapha urged party members to close ranks, set aside personal differences, and work together to consolidate the party’s presence at the grassroots.
He said unity and collective commitment were necessary to sustain the development agenda of the APC-led government and promote further progress in Akoko North West.
Mustapha also called on youths to avoid drug abuse, pursue education, acquire relevant skills, and embrace entrepreneurship to achieve self-reliance and contribute to society.
The youth leader commended the Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, for his contributions to youth development and empowerment, particularly in Akoko North West.

The APC chairman in the local government, Kehinde Obanla, represented by Bola Salami, commended the summit organizers and urged members to maintain their support for the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Similarly, the member representing Akoko North West Constituency I in the Ondo State House of Assembly, Fatai Atere, who is seeking re-election, appealed for continued support for the APC-led government.
The Director-General of BTO4PBAT, Ogbeni Adesuyi Adojutelegan, reaffirmed the party’s commitment to its development agenda and urged members to remain united and focused.
Also speaking, Hon Idowu Aiyegbusi said cohesion among party members was important to strengthening the APC and preparing for forthcoming elections.
An inter-school quiz competition involving students from the two constituencies was one of the highlights of the summit. Students from Constituency I emerged winners and received a cash prize of N100,000.
The summit brought together APC leaders, youths, students, educators, and other stakeholders, with discussions centered on party unity, education, entrepreneurship, and responsible youth participation.
