MoMo PSB beneficiaries stuck with the 2684 code can now use the Federal Government’s official USSD code, *671*0#, to access the ₦50,000 National Emergency Relief and Stabilisation Intervention (NERSI).
The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction lists this code on the official NERSI website. Beneficiaries who receive a selection message should follow MoMo’s instructions to accept the support.
The 2684 number is used for SMS communication, while *671*0# is MoMo PSB’s USSD channel for NERSI. Official guidance does not say the 2684 SMS method has been cancelled. However, MTN has confirmed that the code has changed.
Customers should follow the instructions in their message.
The ₦50,000 support is for selected vulnerable households, not every MoMo customer. No registration fee or agent is required.
How to accept payment
Dial *671*0# from your registered MoMo number and follow the prompts. Never share your PIN or one-time password (OTP), or pay anyone to release the money.
