A Nigerian woman identified as Ruth Abioye has come under criticism on social media following a Facebook post containing disturbing statements directed at people of Igbo origin.
In the post, Ruth made comments wishing death on Igbos, regardless of their political views, and spoke about parents burying their children.

She also said she would rejoice over the death of an Igbo person, linking her comments to what she described as the use of death in political arguments.
Ruth further stated that she had abandoned the principle of not celebrating another person’s death and claimed she wanted Igbos to experience what she described as the “taste of your medicine.”
She wrote: “”This is not a prayer but a sure thing.
“You igbos with parents , your parent would use their hands and búry you all..
“You Igbos with children, your children will diè before you!!
“Since you love to use de@th as a score to your political stand…
“Any de@th, be it a bigot or not in as much you are Igbo I will rejoice…
“Rejoice over mine when I di£, I don’t give a fúck!!
“For this picture, this man will use his hand and bury all the children made through his Spèrm.
“EDIT: The end of the Omoluabi era in me is gone, I am not God but I will give you Igbos in General the taste of your medicine…
“Is the Omoluabi in Us, that made we Yorubas not to ever rejoice over someone’s de@th…
“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets. Matthew 7:12”
