An Edo-based pastor, Caleb Adavize Philip, has narrated the painful experience he and his family went through after they were abducted by kidnappers.
The pastor revealed that he was kidnapped together with his wife and sister and held captive for several days while their abductors demanded a ransom of N50 million for their release.

In a Facebook post shared on Thursday, June 11, 2026, Philip posted photographs showing himself, his wife and sister receiving medical attention in a hospital shortly after regaining their freedom.
The images reflected the aftermath of the difficult conditions they endured during captivity.

Recounting the experience, the pastor described the period as one of fear, emotional distress and physical suffering.“Worst Prayer for an Enemy”
Expressing the depth of the experience, Philip stated that kidnapping was something he would never wish on anyone.
“I can’t forget this in a hurry, how we were kidnapped, myself, wife and sis for days and they were demanding for 50 million naira,” he wrote.
“The worst prayer you could pray for your enemies is for them to be kidnapped, yes, that’s the highest.”
“Lord save our nation. Thank you Jesus for our life.”
