A grieving widow has sought advice after discovering that her late husband allegedly maintained a secret second family for five years before his death.
In a post seeking public opinion, the woman said her husband died unexpectedly three weeks ago following a brief illness.
She explained that while sorting through his personal belongings and documents at his office desk, the family discovered a birth certificate and photographs of a four-year-old child born to another woman.
According to her account, further revelations showed that her husband had allegedly been maintaining a second family in a neighbouring village for about five years, visiting them every weekend under the guise of working late at the office.
The widow further claimed that her husband’s sisters knew about the arrangement but had kept it from her.
The situation reportedly became more complicated when the other woman came forward, demanding that her child be included in the funeral arrangements and the distribution of the deceased’s estate.
The widow said her own children were devastated by the discovery, adding that she was struggling to cope with the pain of losing her husband while simultaneously confronting what she described as a devastating betrayal.
She has now asked for advice on how to navigate grief, betrayal and the emerging family and inheritance dispute.
