VeryDarkMan accuses Tinubu of planning to manipulate Osun election

Social media activist VeryDarkMan has accused President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of attempting to influence the outcome of the Osun State governorship election through the deployment of All Progressives Congress (APC) governors and senators to the state.

VeryDarkMan made the allegation while reacting to the presence of several APC governors and senators from different parts of the country in Osun State during Saturday’s election.

In a video posted on Instagram, the activist directly addressed Tinubu, urging him to allow the people of Osun State to freely determine who governs them.

“Sending your APC governors and senators to OSUN shows the election won’t be credible and fair,” VeryDarkMan said.

He alleged that the presence of the APC political heavyweights was intended to bully, oppress and manipulate the electoral process and its outcome.

Tagging the President’s official Instagram handle, VeryDarkMan said, “@officialasiwajubat, you do know that the kind of political bullying and oppressive structure you have put on ground with APC, if anything happens to you today, there will be a lot of problems even for your family.”

He questioned why APC governors would travel to Osun State to observe the election if their presence was not intended to exert influence over the process.

“Tell me why you have APC governors going to observe the Osun election if not to go and bully, oppress and manipulate the election results?” he asked.

VeryDarkMan also claimed that the circumstances surrounding the election had raised concerns about the possible outcome for the incumbent governor and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Ademola Adeleke.

“It’s very clear and obvious WHAT might be the outcome of the ADELEKES considering the illegality that has happened before now,” he said.

However, the activist clarified that his criticism should not be interpreted as an endorsement of Adeleke’s candidacy.

“This is not me campaigning for Adeleke because I also believe that if he did so well, he won’t even need to campaign,” he said, citing Abia State Governor Alex Otti as an example.

VeryDarkMan nevertheless urged Tinubu to ensure that voters were allowed to freely choose their preferred candidate without intimidation or manipulation.

“That being said, @officialasiwajubat, LET HIS PEOPLE DECIDE in a free and fair election. Today IS THE DAY,” he added.

His comments came amid heightened political activity and the presence of prominent APC figures in Osun as voters cast their ballots in the governorship election.

The allegations by VeryDarkMan are his personal claims and had not been independently established at the time of filing this report.
