Claire Chadwick, a 40-year-old British woman, has died alongside her unborn baby shortly after relocating to Nigeria with her husband.
According to reports, Chadwick, who was 37 weeks pregnant and expecting a baby girl, had died after developing sepsis in Nigeria.
Her sudden death comes after she relocated to Nigeria to begin a new life with her husband, Ibrahim.
She had also built a considerable social media following, regularly sharing videos with Ibrahim on TikTok and Instagram about their relationship, faith and food challenges.
Following the tragedy, her devastated family launched a GoFundMe campaign with a target of £10,000 to facilitate the repatriation of her remains and those of her unborn daughter to the UK for burial.
Her sister, Shannon, said the family wanted both of them brought home so they could be laid to rest with dignity and surrounded by their loved ones.
Shannon also described her late sister as a strong-minded woman who lived life on her own terms and left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
