Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has ordained 2,820 candidates as full pastors, alongside 11,830 deacons and deaconesses and 5,977 assistant pastors, at its 74th Annual Convention.
The figures were disclosed by the church’s Holy Ghost Service account on Instagram during the convention, which was held at Redemption City, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Ogun State.
The church said the 2,820 candidates were ordained as full pastors during the week-long convention, describing the office as the highest pastoral position in the RCCG.
The church stated, “2,820 candidates were ordained to the office of Full Pastors. In R.C.C.G., the office of the Full Pastor is the highest office; even the General Overseer is a full pastor.”

The church had earlier disclosed that 11,830 deacons and deaconesses and 5,977 assistant pastors were also ordained on the second day of the convention.
It stated, “A total of 11,830 Deacons & Deaconesses and 5,977 Assistant Pastors were ordained during the 74th Annual Convention of R.C.C.G.”
The ordinations formed part of activities marking the 74th Annual Convention, which began on Monday, August 3, and ended on Sunday, August 9, 2026.
Themed “Mountain Movers”, the convention attracted worshippers from Nigeria and other parts of the world to Redemption City, Mowe, Ogun State.
The programme featured daily worship sessions, Bible studies, prayer meetings, seminars and specialised sessions for different groups within the church.
Other activities included the Holy Ghost Service on Friday, Holy Communion and Anointing Service on Saturday, as well as baptism, ordination services and the final thanksgiving service on Sunday.
The church’s General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, led several sessions alongside other senior ministers, including his wife, Pastor Folu Adeboye.
The convention also featured testimonies and thanksgiving from worshippers, while the church announced various developments recorded during the gathering.
On the final day, Adeboye announced that at least 88 babies were born at Redemption City during the convention, comprising 52 boys and 36 girls.
The 2026 convention ended with a thanksgiving service on Sunday, bringing to a close a week of worship, prayers, teachings, ordinations and other activities.
