A Nigerian man identified as Oyeniran John has taken to Facebook to question the requirements reportedly given to him by a church before he could officially marry his partner.
John shared a list of items he was allegedly asked to provide before the church would conduct the marriage ceremony.

Alongside the list, he expressed his surprise in a short Facebook post, writing: “Which Church is this oo.”

Some commenters criticised the requirements, while others directed their frustration at the church’s leadership.
Among the comments were suggestions that the church’s General Overseer and his wife should first fulfil the same requirements and marry themselves before imposing such demands on couples seeking to wed there.
