A Nigerian lady has criticised popular TikToker and streamer Peller over the guest list for his wedding, accusing him of overlooking loyal fans who contributed to his rise.
In a viral video, the lady said Peller’s aso-ebi means little to Nigerians living abroad, claiming she even bought hers for someone else. She, however, insisted that the real issue was not the aso-ebi but the people he chose to invite.
According to her, many of Peller’s supporters are ordinary Nigerians who stood by him from the beginning, even though they are struggling financially.
“Peller, we live in the diaspora here. Your aso-ebi is nothing to us, that was why I bought it for someone. People that made you who you are, that made people notice you, are those who are in need. Those are the people you will say, ‘Go and hit somebody’s account,’ and they won’t even look at you twice, they will do it.”
The lady argued that despite not benefiting financially from Peller, many of his fans have continued to support him wholeheartedly without expecting anything in return.
She added that such loyal supporters deserved to be recognised and included in his special day.
“They follow you back to back. They can’t afford aso-ebi. Many of them have not been able to gain anything from you, but they never relent. They keep loving you undilutedly.
I expected you to let people like them come for your wedding. Na Cubana wan chop the whole cow, 22 cows?” she added.
Her comments have since sparked reactions online, with social media users divided over whether celebrities should prioritise loyal fans or influential personalities when planning major events.
