Kefas’ Anti-Thuggery Order Gets Major Backing as 2027 Race Heats Up

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) governorship candidate for Taraba State, Hon. Danjuma Usman Shiddi (Danji SS), has thrown his weight behind Governor Agbu Kefas’s trio of Executive Orders targeting drug abuse, political thuggery, and illegal mining.

Describing the directives as “bold and timely”, Shiddi said the measures could strengthen security, safeguard the environment, and foster electoral peace ahead of the 2027 general elections—provided they are enforced without favour.

In a statement, the APGA flagbearer praised the governor for tackling the state’s most pressing challenges, particularly the order against political thuggery, which he believes could guarantee a level playing field for all parties and candidates to campaign without intimidation.

Shiddi also endorsed the crackdown on drug abuse and illegal mining, warning that both vices threaten Taraba’s youth, natural resources, and long-term development.

While pledging full support for the orders, he urged the state government to ensure strict, transparent, and impartial enforcement, insisting that no individual or political party should be exempt from the law.

He further called on his supporters and political stakeholders to remain law-abiding and collaborate towards a free, fair, and credible 2027 election in Taraba State.
