Abba Kabir Yusuf, the governor of Kano state has sworn in Murtala Sule Garo as the new deputy governor of the state.
The swearing-in ceremony, held on Tuesday at the government house in Kano, was conducted by Dije Abdu Aboki, the chief judge who administered the oath of office.
The event was attended by top government officials, lawmakers, traditional rulers and political stakeholders, reflecting its significance in the state’s political landscape.
Among dignitaries present were Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and Ibrahim Shekarau, former governors of the state.
Also in attendance were Barau Jibrin, deputy senate president and Muhammadu Sanusi II, the Emir of Kano.
