Nollywood actress Ronke Oshodi-Oke has appealed to Nigerians not to criticise or insult her if they see her endorsing or campaigning for a politician ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a recent interview, the actress made the statement while addressing the possibility of her publicly supporting political figures, explaining that such endorsements should be viewed as part of her efforts to make a living.

According to Ronke Oshodi, she may endorse politicians as a means of survival and urged her fans and followers to understand her position rather than attack her over it.
“If you see me endorsing any politician, just know that I’m hustling and doing it for survival. Just look at it as if I’m just looking for a means of survival. Please, don’t drag or insult me,” she said.
Her statement has generated discussions among social media users, with some people noting that entertainers often rely on different opportunities to earn a living.
Others argued that political endorsements come with public scrutiny, especially when celebrities use their influence to promote political candidates or causes.
Ronke Oshodi, who has remained a familiar face in the Nigerian entertainment industry for years, has continued to maintain a strong presence on social media, where she frequently shares her views and personal experiences.
Her latest remarks have therefore drawn attention as she openly acknowledged that financial considerations could influence her decision to endorse politicians.
For now, she has asked her followers to view any political endorsement from her as part of her hustle rather than a reason to attack or insult her.
