Content creator and socialite Lekki Street Boy has publicly appreciated Nigerian singer Davido for helping him financially and supporting him at different stages of his life.
In an emotional video shared on his Instagram page, Lekki Street Boy recounted how Davido repeatedly came through for him despite admitting that he misused several opportunities the singer gave him.
“Davido has really tried for me oo. OBO don try for me well well. If not for OBO, who I be? Wetin I for be today if no be Davido?” he said.
According to him, Davido first assisted him in 2020 after inviting him to Beat FM, where he allegedly gifted him a 30BG chain alongside ₦1 million.
Lekki Street Boy further revealed that after he lost the chain during the End SARS period, Davido still allegedly supported him with more money and even rented an apartment for him recently in Lekki.
“The chain he gave me then, I lost it due to End SARS. Police collected it from my hand. Upon say he dey vex, he still told them to give me 500k.
“Last year he still gave me 5000 dollars and rented an apartment for me. Despite the fact say I still dey misuse these opportunities, he still keep helping me,” he added.
It would be recalled that last month, Lekki Street Boy praised the singer for his humility during their encounter at a club, noting how Davido interacted freely without the distance often associated with celebrities.
The emotional testimony has generated reactions online, with many social media users praising Davido for his generosity and consistent support for people around him.
