A man has stirred reactions online after narrating how he allowed his son retaliate physically against his sister during a heated argument, insisting it was a lesson the girl needed to learn.
The man shared the incident on social media, explaining that it happened a day after he had earlier instructed his son never to hit his sister first but to report any form of aggression.

According to him, the situation escalated while they were driving, as both children argued over the colour of nearby mountains.
“I remember telling you guys a few days ago that I don’t allow my son hit his sister, but he should report if she hits him. Yesterday, they started arguing in the car about the colour of the mountains, one said black, the other said brown. It got intense and my daughter slapped him first.”
Father insists incident taught “valuable lesson”
He stated that his son immediately retaliated, landing what he described as a “resounding slap,” which left the girl in tears throughout the journey.
“The way she burst into tears, I just faced front and continued driving. She cried till she slept. Since then, she hasn’t raised her hands at him. I believe she now understands the strength difference and will learn to argue differently.”
... has since generated mixed reactions, with some supporting his stance on accountability, while others criticised the approach as encouraging violence among children.
Similar debates have emerged in the past over discipline methods and gender-based upbringing in homes.
