A Nigerian lady has shared a heartbreaking account of her alleged experience in marriage, revealing some of the painful situations she endured while living with her husband.
According to her now-viral post shared on TikTok, she allegedly suffered emotional stress, neglect, and constant humiliation during the marriage, while also battling health challenges.
In her words, she said:
“My husband would call me by 3 a.m. to wake up and make semo and egusi for him. I was getting infections almost every week because he was a dirty cheat.”
The woman further alleged that her husband would sometimes mistreat their child and ignore her during difficult moments, including after she suffered a miscarriage.
She also claimed that she lived under strict control in the house and could not even eat freely without seeking permission from her husband.
“He would lock our two-month-old baby in the bathroom whenever the baby cried out of hunger. He didn’t take me to the hospital when I was bleeding after a miscarriage. I even had to ask for permission before eating food in the house, even noodles,” she added.
Her story has generated reactions online, with many social media users sympathising with her and condemning abusive behaviour in marriages.
One user wrote, “The baby part is not only disturbing, it’s heartbreaking.” Another commented, “Some marriages look perfect outside but are terrible inside.”
