I Can’t Rate Myself After 6 Years In Office – Ashanti Regional Minister

After serving as a minister for six years under Nana Addo’s administration, the Ashanti Regional Minister Simon Osei Mensah thinks it is impossible to evaluate his own performance.

Some people have labeled the Minister, who has faced harsh criticism for his incapacity to oversee huge development infrastructure in the area where the New Patriotic Party (NPP) receives the bulk of votes, as a flop.

The Minister would not want to become involved in a pointless debate since he knows that his critics will influence any rating he gets himself.

He did point out that there are sufficient grounds for the region to refer to him as “THE WORKING MINISTER.”

‘‘I don’t rate myself; I don’t know how people rate me. In my first four years as a minister, I bagged the best performing minister for 4 consecutive times.  Come to my office and see all the medals there’’

“Just last year, Greater Accra beat me to it, and even though I was second, what I am saying is I don’t rate myself, people will have to rate me, and I have told you of the ratings people are telling me’’
