“I also want to marry” — Small-statured man says women only notice him if he has money

A Nigerian man of shorter stature has stirred conversations on social media after expressing frustration over what he described as the difficulties short men face in finding lasting relationships.

In a video making the rounds online, the visibly emotional man said he was mentally exhausted and questioned why people of his height often struggle to attract the partners they desire.

He suggested that financial wealth appears to be the only factor that improves their chances in the dating scene.

His remarks have since drawn mixed reactions, with many internet users empathising with his experience, while others argued that successful relationships depend on more than physical appearance or financial status.

Man opens up about relationship frustrations

Speaking in the viral video, the man said, “My fellow Nigerians, I am very stressed mentally right now. Why do people like us don’t have luck in terms of relationship. Why is it that short people like us, we don’t always have what we want, the kind of woman we want we don’t always have it.”

He went on to question whether his height was the reason for his struggles, saying, “What is our crime being short? It is only when we have excess money that we can get some of the things we desire.”

The emotional confession resonated with many viewers who shared similar experiences and reflected on societal expectations surrounding relationships.

Mixed reactions trail viral video

Concluding his emotional appeal, the man said, “I’m tired. I’m very tired. I want to settle down and get married but what I’m seeing I don’t like it. If I no later marry make nobody question me o. I have tired my best.”

The video has continued to generate debate online, with some users agreeing that shorter men often face dating challenges, while others insisted that confidence, personality and compatibility play a greater role than height in building meaningful relationships.
