Nigerian singer and controversial social media personality Speed Darlington, also known as Akpi, has sparked reactions online after revealing the amount he is willing to pay a house help every month.
The entertainer disclosed this while discussing his preference for a domestic worker and the conditions he would offer as part of the arrangement.
According to Speed Darlington, he is prepared to pay a house help ₦40,000 monthly, with food and accommodation included.
‘If you tell me ₦70k, I will block you’
Speed Darlington made it clear that ₦40,000 is the maximum amount he is willing to pay and warned prospective applicants against demanding a higher salary.
He said:
“House girl wanted 40k a month. If you tell me 70k, I will block you. 40k is what I’m willing to pay, with food and accommodation included.”
The entertainer also explained that he did not want to live with male domestic staff.
“I don’t want to live with boys,” he added.
His comments have sparked discussion online, with social media users weighing in on the proposed salary, the inclusion of food and accommodation, and his preference for a female house help.
