Social media critic VeryDarkMan has accused Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke of being an All Progressives Congress (APC) supporter, claiming his public political stance differed from his alleged allegiance.
In a remark shared on his Instagram page, VeryDarkMan also dragged Afrobeats singer Davido into the controversy, alleging that the musician knew his uncle’s political stance all along.
The critic claimed that the Osun election had effectively become an APC primary, arguing that Adeleke had opposed the party publicly to protect his chances at the polls.
He further alleged that Davido kept his uncle’s supposed political alignment from the public because openly confirming it could have affected Adeleke’s electoral chances.
“Governor Ademola Adeleke finally showed Nigerians what he has been hiding all these while, that he’s APC puppet and he has always been.
“A lot of you don’t know that the election in Osun was an APC primaries and yes, Davido knew 100 percent that his uncle Ademola Adeleke is APC,” he wrote.
VeryDarkMan’s comments have drawn attention to the governor’s alleged political allegiance and Davido’s purported knowledge of it.
