Malam Jafaru Ibrahim Sani, a former commissioner under the administration of ex-governor Nasir El-Rufai, has declared his intention to contest the Kaduna State governorship election on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
Sani previously served as Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs before later becoming Commissioner for Education during El-Rufai’s administration.
He has already obtained the nomination forms to contest for the state’s top seat.
He also confirmed the development, saying, “We are trying to be among the contenders. May Allah guide us.”
On Wednesday, he was seen alongside other governorship hopefuls at a meeting where party members agreed to work together to secure victory for the ADC in the 2027 election.
Other politicians seeking the ADC governorship ticket include Isah Ashiru Kudan, Professor Muhammad Sani Bello, Shuaibu Idris Mikati, and Tijjani Ahmad.
