Michael Sani Amanesi, the Nigerian comedian and actor known as MC Lively, is planning to marry his boyfriend, Dumebi James.
On Wednesday, the entertainer released pre-wedding video on Instagram, captioning it, “A King and His Queen!!”
Fans, colleagues, and well-wishers have all sent congratulations notes after seeing the video.
While MC Lively did not provide the wedding date or any other specifics about the ceremony, the news is a rare public acknowledgement of his romantic life, which he has kept mostly private throughout his career.
The comedian, who hails from Agenebode, Edo State, is one of Nigeria’s most prominent comic performers, best known for his comedy skits in which he plays a smart lawyer dealing with ordinary circumstances with humour.
His unique approach has won him a sizable following across social media channels.
Aside from skits, he has a successful career in Nollywood, appearing in films such as ‘The Ghost and the Tout,’ ‘Progressive Tailors Club,’ ‘Introducing the Kujus,’ ‘The Order of Things,’ and ‘Fate of Alakada’.
