Comedian Carrot Top, whose real name is Scott Thompson, has been hospitalized after a suicide attempt.

According to reports by TMZ, the circumstances surrounding the incident led to the cancellation of his scheduled show on Friday night.
A representative for the veteran Las Vegas performer, Jami Schlicher, confirmed that Thompson is currently recovering in the hospital and receiving medical care and support.
Speaking to Page Six, the representative said: “Mr. Thompson is recovering in the hospital and is receiving the care and support he needs.
“His family and those closest to him are deeply grateful for the concern, prayers and respectfully ask for privacy.”
The comedian’s family and representatives have asked the public to respect their privacy as he continues his recovery.
