BREAKING: Bad Debut For Harry Kane As #Leipzig Embarrass Bayern Munich To Lift German Super Cup Trophy—-Harry Kane’s trophy curse continues after Dani Olmo’s brilliant hat-trick helped Leipzig to the German Super Cup title.

The Three Lions striker, who only completed a summer move earlier before the match was introduced by Tuchel in the second half.

A Dani Olmi-inspired performance saw Leipzig run riot against Bayern Munich, denying Harry Kane his first taste of silverware.

Any match between the Bavarians and The Red Bulls attracts eyeballs, as the fixture has become one of the biggest in the German top flight.

This one, however, had many more interests, as it carried the possibility of offering Kane his first top-flight trophy.

Olmo’s hat-trick spoiled the party, however, lengthening the English striker’s wait for a trophy.

Bayern were favourites going into the game, and certain pre-match analysis painted a picture that made the game seem like only a formality before Thomas Tuchel’s side were crowned champions.

However, it took only three minutes for reality to set in as Olmo scored an early first.

Bayern Munich responded as expected and started to dominate proceedings, but despite chance after chance in their pursuit for an equaliser, it was Leipzig who found the second goal of the game just before half-time, Olmo with his second strike of the encounter.

Tuchel made a host of changes at the start of the second half in an attempt to remedy the situation. The man of the occasion, Kane, also got a debut around the hour mark, but he could do little to steer the result away from the direction it was headed.

A bad situation got worse for the Bavarians when Die Roten Bullen were given a penalty in the 68th minute of the game, only four minutes after Kane came on. Olmo stepped up, and for the third time in the game, he beat Sven Ulreich.

TGM gathered that Kane completed a £100m move from North London club, Tottenham Hotspurs to Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich after his medical on Saturday.

Kane flew into Germany from England on Friday night and underwent the first part of his medical at Barmherzige Bruder Hospital in west Munich.

He then completed the second part of his medical at Bayern’s Sabener Strasse training centre.

Bayern were, however, able to register him by 2pm UK time on Saturday, making him eligible to play in the German Super Cup.
