Does anyone really think that Mahmoud Abbas is serious about wishing the Israeli Prime Minister a happy Jewish new year? Abbas is a jihad leader who pays jihad terrorists to kill Israelis, rejects a Jewish state and seeks to obliterate it, denies the Holocaust, and who declared that “not a single Israeli” will exist in a future Palestinian state — among much more.
It would be strange indeed for Lapid to have accepted such a call from Abbas in good faith.
