Brazilian festival queen Natália Soares, 26, has died after the car she was driving crashed into a tree in Goiás, while her young daughter survived the tragic accident.

The crash happened on the morning of September 29 on the GO-426 highway between Inhumas and Santa Rosa de Goiás, in the metropolitan region of Goiânia, Brazil. Reports said Natália was driving a silver Volkswagen Gol when the vehicle left the road and collided with a tree.

Her young daughter was also inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. The child was rescued and taken to a medical facility for treatment and observation. Reports said she did not suffer life-threatening injuries and was later discharged.
Emergency responders found Natália trapped inside the badly damaged vehicle, but she had already died by the time rescue teams arrived. Firefighters had to use specialised equipment to remove her from the wreckage.

Natália was known in the region for her involvement in the local festival circuit. She was crowned queen of the Festa do Peão de Santa Rosa de Goiás and was remembered by the festival organisers following news of her death.
