The City Boy Movement has clarified that the postponement of its planned inauguration in Kwara State was due to adjustments to its schedule and planning arrangements, and not as a result of any disagreement with the All Progressives Congress (APC) or the state government.
In a statement signed by its Director-General, Hon. Francis Oluwatosin Shoga, the group said reports suggesting that the event was boycotted or cancelled for political reasons were inaccurate.
The Movement said the postponement was necessary to ensure proper coordination and effective participation of relevant stakeholders.
“The programme was not boycotted or cancelled for political reasons,” the statement said.
It reaffirmed its commitment to working with the APC structure, Kwara State Government, party stakeholders, community leaders, youth and women groups and other relevant stakeholders.

According to the statement, the Movement remains focused on grassroots mobilisation, youth engagement and support for the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The organisation said the new date for the Kwara State inauguration would be communicated through its official channels.
It urged members of the public and the media to rely on official statements from the Movement regarding its activities and disregard reports attributing the postponement to a political boycott or internal disagreement.
The clarification followed reports and speculation surrounding the postponement of the Kwara programme.
