2023 Election: Deji Adeyanju places N4.2m bet that Peter Obi will come 3rd

Convener of Concerned Nigeria, Deji Adeyanju, says he is willing to bet the sum of $10,000 (approximately N4.2 million) with any supporter of Peter Obi, over his chances of being elected president

He argued with ObiDients that their candidate will come a distant 3rd in the 2023 presidential election.

Peter Obi, a former Governor is the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP).

Adeyanju, who is also a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, dared anybody in Nigeria or abroad to also bet on the matter if they’re confident that Obi will emerge president.

Taking to his Twitter account, the activist suggested finding someone like Dele Momodu to keep the money when someone eventually takes up his challenge and places a bet.

He tweeted; ”Willing to bet $10k with any Obedient in Nigeria or in diaspora that Obi will come distant 3rd in February. Put your money where your mouth is. Let’s find someone we can deposit the money with now so you don’t change your mind later. I suggest Egbon Dele MOMODU to keep the money.”

CorrectNG reported on Thursday that Obi has slammed the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the leading opposition, Peoples Democratic Party ((PDP), saying the only political structure both parties have is ‘stomach infrastructure’.

Speaking at the Labour Party Coalition for Peter Obi (CPO) Summit at the International Conference Centre, Abuja, on Thursday, he said that stomach infrastructure has brought more hardship for millions of Nigerians in the last two decades.

Obi also reiterated that his structure is the 100 million poor Nigerians who will troop out enmasse on election day to secure their future through their votes.

He said; “The current structures of both the PDP and the APC are the stomach infrastructure that has brought us nothing but misery.

“Their understanding of structure is sharing of Nigeria’s patrimony to vested interests and influence peddlers. That is against what Peter Obi represents; that is against what Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed represents; and it is indeed, against the vision of the Labour Party.

“It is the 33% unemployed Nigerians who already know who kept them unemployed; our structure is indeed the parents of 18.5m out-of-school-children in Nigeria, who will strive to ensure that such affliction does not visit them a second time.

Our structure is everyone seated in this hall today! Yes, we have Structure. And we are ready to move mountains to save Nigeria.”
