Zenith Bank to Host Tech Fair 6.0 on November 5, Focuses on Artificial Intelligence

Zenith Bank Plc has announced plans to host the sixth edition of its annual technology fair on November 5, 2026, with artificial intelligence taking centre stage as businesses and individuals increasingly adopt emerging digital technologies.

The event, tagged Zenith Bank Tech Fair 2026: Future Forward 6.0, will explore the theme “AI: Embrace or Extinct,” highlighting the growing influence of artificial intelligence on business operations, employment, innovation and economic development.

Unlike previous editions, the 2026 technology fair will be held virtually for the first time, allowing participants from Nigeria and other countries to attend through various digital platforms.

According to the bank, the event will be accessible through Zoom, Instagram, X, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube, providing opportunities for entrepreneurs, technology professionals, students and businesses to participate.

The initiative, conceived by Zenith Bank’s founder, Jim Ovia, is designed to encourage technological innovation among young Nigerians and support the development of solutions capable of addressing challenges across different industries.

Over the years, the fair has provided a platform for technology startups, innovators and industry professionals to showcase emerging solutions, exchange ideas and explore opportunities within Nigeria’s expanding digital economy.

Previous participants have developed solutions addressing challenges in retail, financial services, education and digital identity verification.

Among them are JumpnPass, which introduced a self-checkout solution for retailers, and CreditChek, which applies artificial intelligence and open banking technology to simplify credit verification.

At the 2025 edition, TrustLoop emerged as the hackathon winner with its digital identity verification solution, while Cubbes Technologies won the startup pitch competition for developing an AI-powered educational technology platform.

Zenith Bank said the programme has supported promising innovators through financial rewards and mentorship, helping participants advance technology-driven business ideas.

The upcoming edition comes amid increasing investment in artificial intelligence globally, with financial institutions and other businesses exploring ways to improve operational efficiency, customer experience and service delivery.

For Nigeria’s technology ecosystem, the event offers an opportunity to examine how artificial intelligence could influence entrepreneurship, workforce development and business competitiveness.

Zenith Bank expects the virtual format to expand participation and encourage wider discussions about the opportunities and challenges associated with AI adoption.
