Popular Zambian model Lisa Mutambo has died after reportedly becoming ill and losing consciousness at her residence in Lusaka’s Kalundu area.
The 25-year-old model had reportedly spent the night out with friends before returning home, where she began vomiting and later became unconscious.

News of her death was reported at Chelstone Police Station at about 09:30 hours on Thursday, August 2026. Police said Lisa died between 03:30 and 04:30 hours at Victoria Hospital.
Following her death, claims circulated on social media suggesting that the model may have been beaten. However, police said no injuries were found on her body.
According to police deputy spokesperson Chipo Kaitisha, Lisa had spent the evening with two female friends at a hotel in Lusaka where she reportedly served as an ambassador.
The three women left the hotel at around 22:30 hours and went to another drinking spot, where they continued spending time together.
Police said that between 02:30 and 03:00 hours, Lisa’s boyfriend, identified as Caleb Lisa and also known as Andrea Andrew Chimba on Facebook, arrived and picked up the three women.
He reportedly dropped Lisa’s two friends in the Minestone/Casanova area before taking Lisa to the residence they shared in Kalundu.
After they arrived home, Lisa reportedly began vomiting before suddenly becoming unconscious.
Her boyfriend then contacted a friend, who assisted in taking her to Victoria Hospital. However, Lisa was pronounced dead when she arrived at the hospital.
Her body was initially taken to FSG Mortuary before later being transferred to the University Teaching Hospital Mortuary, where a postmortem examination is expected to be conducted.
