‘You have no right to interrupt me’ – Oshiomhole tells Rufai Oseni on live TV

Former Edo State Governor and Senator representing Edo North, Adams Oshiomhole, on Friday engaged in a heated exchange with Arise Television presenter, Rufai Oseni, during an appearance on the station’s Morning Show.

The disagreement arose while Oseni questioned the former governor about the political activities of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, and President Bola Tinubu’s visit to Saudi Arabia.

Oshiomhole appeared displeased with the interviewer’s questioning style, accusing him of repeatedly interrupting his responses instead of allowing him to address the issues raised.

The former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) insisted that Oseni should give him enough time to answer the questions, arguing that guests deserved to be treated with respect during interviews.

He said: “I won’t allow you to continue with this tradition of speak to yourself and answer yourself. You asked three questions and I will reply them. And you have no right to interrupt when I am replying.

“Let’s agree on international best practices. You must have the patience to listen to my answer. And you must treat me as a guest with respect.

“Rufai, I am very ready for you.”

The exchange followed Oseni’s questions about Wike’s political engagements, Uzodimma’s activities and concerns surrounding Tinubu’s foreign trips.

During the interview, Oshiomhole also rejected suggestions of preferential treatment for Wike over other political figures, maintaining that the FCT minister was not being given any special consideration.
