Nigerian content creator Peller has explained why he did not shed tears during his wedding to fellow content creator Jarvis, revealing that his wife was the one who asked him to cry.
In a video shared on social media, he addressed reactions to his calm demeanour during the wedding, insisting that there was nothing emotional about the moment because he and Jarvis had already been living together as husband and wife before officially getting married.
He explained that the wedding was mainly to publicly formalise their relationship and make it known that they were officially married.
“Which one be I no cry for my wedding? It’s my wife that asked me to shed those fake tears. Why I go cry for that my wedding? There’s nothing emotional about it. Me and Jarvis have been living as husband and wife before we even got married, so we got married just to put it out there that we’re married,” he said.
Peller further revealed that Jarvis’ family had previously objected to her living with him before they got married, which made the marriage an important step in their relationship.
According to him, their decision to marry was therefore not the beginning of their life together, but rather a formal step that allowed them to continue living together with the approval of Jarvis’ family.
“At some point her family didn’t want her to live with me until marriage,” he added.
His explanation has generated reactions online, with some social media users discussing his decision not to show strong emotions during the wedding, while others noted that couples express their feelings differently.
The couple’s wedding continues to attract attention online, with fans following their relationship and celebrating their transition from content creators and partners to a married couple
