Venezuelan cargo plane linked to Iran’s attempts to attack Israelis

It should come as no surprise that “the recent detainment of a Venezuelan cargo plane in Argentina could be linked to attempts by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) to attack Israelis abroad.”

Iran is well know to use proxies to expand its global influence. One area of interest and support to Iran is Venezuela. Although the fact is rarely reported upon, Iran and Venezuela are strong allies. The Iranian proxy Hizballah “has helped to turn Venezuela into a hub for the convergence of transnational organized crime and international terrorism.” Iran is also reportedly helping Venezuela to build combat drones which could be used for acts of jihad terror. Two years ago, Jihad Watch reported that U.S. Southern Command, Admiral Craig Faller, warned that Iran’s Quds Force was sending weapons and troops to Venezuela.

Iran’s influence in the Western Hemisphere isn’t restricted to Venezuela, either. All over South America, “Iran has a long history of directing weapons, drug and oil smuggling in South America, especially with Venezuela and with criminal organizations in multiple countries on the continent.”

Israelis are a target in Venezuela, as well as other Westerners. Israel and America are the two main targets of Iran: the “Little Satan” and the “Great Satan,” respectively. With America virtually as incapacitated as its president, Iran is free to hold out for the best possible terms in a new nuke deal and zero in on Israel.

It cannot be overemphasized that there is a huge difference between what the activist mainstream media decides is important in a news cycle, and what is indeed most important. The jihad has not abated and Iran is increasingly a global threat.

“How is a Venezuelan cargo plane linked to Iran’s attempts to attack Israelis?,” by Tzvi Joffre, Jerusalem Post, June 28, 2022:

The recent detainment of a Venezuelan cargo plane in Argentina could be linked to attempts by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) to attack Israelis abroad, according to independent Israeli intelligence analyst Ronen Solomon, who runs the blog Intelli Times.

The cargo plane, which belongs to the Venezuelan state-owned Emtrasur cargo company was detained on June 8 after landing in Buenos Aires due to concerns linked to the aircraft’s past as an Iranian aircraft and Iranian crewmembers staffing the flight.

Since the plane was detained, the case has expanded, with Argentinean federal judge Federico Villena ordering the plane to be seized and inspected in order to try and find any documents or evidence that could help determine what the crew was doing in Buenos Aires.

What was the aircraft doing in Argentina and why was it detained?

Iran’s operations in Venezuela
Iran has a long history of directing weapons, drug and oil smuggling in South America, especially with Venezuela and with criminal organizations in multiple countries on the continent.

According to Solomon, a Western security source revealed that the Quds Force’s Unit 840, which is responsible for terrorist operations outside of Iran against Western targets and opposition groups, has operations in South America which an official named Said Muhamad Hasan Khajazi runs from Venezuela.

Unit 840 is also the unit in which Hassan Sayad Khodaei, who was assassinated in an attack blamed on Israel in central Tehran, served. After his assassination, Iranian officials threatened to attack Israelis in retaliation, sparking travel warnings for Israelis in multiple countries bordering Iran.

Alongside the IRGC’s operations, Hezbollah, which is closely linked to the Quds Force, holds power over the triangle where the borders of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay meet, running a drug trade and smuggling vehicles, weapons and people to support intelligence and terrorism operations.

Iranian-Venezuelan weapons trade
On September 13, 2020, an intelligence source revealed footage of a delegation of Iranian officials in Venezuela, including Hassan Kazemi Qomi, who is suspected of being connected to the Quds Force, and Hamid Arabnejad, the CEO of Mahan Air, according to Solomon….
