Remove INEC Chair After Bawa, Emefiele’s Suspension

A Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former President of Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Olisa Agbakoba has asked President Bola Tinubu to remove the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Mahmoud Yakubu.

The senior lawyer, in a statement on Thursday, said the 61-year-old INEC boss must leave office by resignation or removal, otherwise the electoral reform task in Nigeria will be impeded.

A Nollywood veteran actor, Don Brymo Uchegbu, has died.

The Anambra State-born thespian reportedly died on Thursday.

The 56-year-old actor was said to have died in his sleep

His colleague and friend, Mr. Mayor Ofoegbu, confirmed the development in a post on his Facebook page on Thursday morning.

Kano Govt Denies Move To Dissolve New Emirates

Kano State Government says it has not taken any decision yet on the five new emirates established by the former administration of Dr Umar Ganduje.

This is contained in a statement issued by Bature Dawakin Tofa, Press Secretary to the state governor, on Thursday in Kano.

He indicated that the government had not approached the state House of Assembly on the matter.

Uzodinma Mourns Victims Of Auto Crash

Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodimma, has expressed his sadness over the loss of some members of the All Progressives Congress from Imo State who died in a car accident in Agbor, Delta State while travelling to Abuja.

According to the governor’s Chief Press Secretary and Media Adviser, Mr Oguwike Nwachuku, Uzodimma conveyed his condolences to the families of the deceased and wished those who were injured a speedy recovery.

“Our hearts go out to the families of the victims; on behalf of my family, the people and the government of Imo, we pray for the quick recovery of the injured ones who are recuperating in the hospital.
