“Actors don’t retire or get tried”- Adebayo Salami celebrates over 50years in movie industry

Veteran actor Adebayo Salami has celebrated being in the movie industry for over five decades.

The movie star who recently turned 72 shared a throwback picture of his younger self and his colleagues in an Instagram post on Thursday in which he thanked God for his career and family.

Adebayo Salami added that actors only get tired but they don’t retire.

He featured in the first Yoruba film, Ajani Ogun, in which the late Adeyemi Afolayan, the father of Kunle Afolayan and Gabriel Afolayan, plays the lead role.

He produced his first movie, Ogun Ajaye, in 1985, from the stable of Awada Kerikeri.

Since 1985, he has produced, directed, and featured in several Yoruba movies.

His sons Femi Adebayo and Tope Adebayo are actors and movie producer just like their father.
