“There shall be no more deaths in Nigeria” — First Lady Oluremi Tinubu declares

Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, on Tuesday declared that the country would become a peaceful, blessed and fruitful nation.

She also prayed that there would be no more death or barrenness in the country.

She made the declaration during the commissioning of the Bwari Satellite Town Water Supply Network in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The project was among those inaugurated to mark President Bola Tinubu’s third anniversary in office.

Prayer at water project inauguration

Representing President Bola Tinubu at the event, the First Lady referenced 2 Kings 2:19–21 while offering prayers for Nigeria.

She said the newly commissioned water project symbolised healing and prosperity for the nation.

According to Mrs Tinubu, “As a minister of God, I would like to add a scripture from the Bible, 2 Kings 2:19–21. You can all go and read it. I use this water project as a point of contact to say a prayer for our nation and specifically verse 21,

‘Thus says the Lord, I have healed this water; from it there shall be no more death or barren land.’ Our nation shall be peaceful, blessed, and fruitful in Jesus’ name.”

She concluded her remarks by praying for the Federal Capital Territory and the country, saying, “God bless the Federal Capital Territory and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”
