Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has publicly thrown his weight behind his deputy, Kadri Hamzat, as the preferred candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2027 governorship election.
The endorsement was made at Lagos House in Marina during a gathering that brought together members of the State Executive Council and key APC stakeholders.
Also in attendance were chairmen from all 57 local government areas and local council development areas across the state, reflecting broad party presence at the meeting.
Sanwo-Olu noted that Hamzat possesses the experience and deep understanding of governance required to lead Lagos, expressing confidence in his ability to take on the role.
