The  Nigerian  Ambassador  to the French Republic, Ambassador Ayodele Oke, has said a robust diplomatic time is coming soon for the two countries.

Oke made the pledge on Monday when he presented his Letters of Credence to President Emmanuel Macron, in Élysée Palace, Paris.

He also  said he would elevate the partnership between Nigeria and France to enhance security, boost trade and investment.

The envoy  said he would promote Nigeria›s values and reputation with clarity and credibility as well as  unfolded his plans in a statement by Nigerian Embassy in Paris.

A highly-ethical and internationally respected diplomat, Oke said: “I am pleased to inform you that on  October 5,  I presented my Letters of Credence to President  Macron and formally assumed  duties as the 17th Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to the French Republic.

“The brief  and significant ceremony took place in the grandeur of the historic, iconic Élysée Palace, with its regal ambience.

“It underscored the need to elevate and recalibrate the partnership between Nigeria and France.

“This means strengthening bilateral relations in security, trade and investment, while upholding our values and reputation with clarity and credibility.

“It also means shaping conversations, securing advantages, protecting citizens, and promoting Nigeria’s national image.”
