The Propak West Africa Summit 2026 has unveiled its official theme and announced Alex Gendis, Chief Executive Officer of Beta Glass Plc, as the opening keynote speaker for the leadership forum.
Gendis will deliver the opening keynote address on Tuesday, 8 September 2026, at the Landmark Centre in Lagos, where industry leaders, policymakers, manufacturers, investors, technology providers and development partners are expected to discuss the future of food processing and packaging in West Africa.
The theme of the summit is “Unlocking Growth in Food Processing & Packaging: Drivers, Opportunities, Constraints and Economic Linkages.”
The forum will examine the factors shaping sustainable growth across West Africa’s food processing and packaging value chain, with discussions focused on emerging opportunities, industry constraints, regional value chains and the wider economic impact of the sector.
As one of the region’s manufacturing executives, Gendis is expected to share insights into the changing food processing and packaging landscape and the investments and innovations required to support long-term industrial growth.

His address will also examine the role of sustainability, strategic investment and collaboration among industry stakeholders in strengthening the sector across West Africa.
The summit organisers said the keynote aligns with the central focus of the 2026 edition, which seeks to explore the opportunities, challenges and strategic priorities that will shape the competitiveness of the food processing and packaging industries.
Other speakers scheduled to participate include Titus Gado, Manufacturing Director at CHI Limited; Dr Markus Grumann, Managing Director of Miho Inspection Systems; Obaloluwa Dairo, Venture and Policy Development Lead at Circular Economy Innovation Partnership (CEIP); and Nnorom Chidiebere, Chief Operating Officer of Ebees Green.
The summit will bring together senior executives, government representatives, regulators, manufacturers, investors and technology providers to discuss policies, partnerships and innovations aimed at accelerating industrial development and strengthening West Africa’s food processing and packaging ecosystem.
The Propak West Africa Summit 2026 will hold on Tuesday, 8 September 2026, at Landmark Centre, Lagos, Nigeria.
The wider Propak West Africa 2026 exhibition will also provide opportunities for industry participants to engage with manufacturers, technology providers and other stakeholders in the processing and packaging sectors.
