The written test for constable applicants will hold across three days, with officials warning against any form of financial inducement.
The Police Service Commission (PSC), in collaboration with the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has scheduled the written examination for prospective Police Constables – both General Duty and Specialist applicants – for 28 to 30 April 2026.
The examination will take place at Osun State University, Oke-Baale, Osogbo, for candidates from Osun State.
This was announced in a press release issued on Saturday in Osogbo by the Osun State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Abiodun Ojelabi.
According to CSP Ojelabi, only candidates who successfully passed the physical and credentials screening are eligible to sit for the test.
“Qualified applicants are to log on to www.npfapplication.psc.gov.ng from Friday 24 April 2026 to print their Examination Invitation Card, which will indicate the specific date, time and venue of their test,” he stated.
He added that applicants from Osun who were erroneously scheduled for 27 April 2026 should revisit the website, as a minor date adjustment has been made. Candidates who have yet to receive any message are also advised to check the website to print their invitation letter.
The following items are required for the examination:
1. A pen
2. National Identification Number (NIN) slip from the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), bearing a clear photograph
3. Printed Examination Invitation Card
4. Dress code: white shorts, white T‑shirt, and white canvas shoes.
The Police Service Commission reiterated that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge and warned that any form of job racketeering, scams, or financial inducement would be met with the full force of the law.
