According to Julius Abure, the chairman of the Labour Party, it would be in Rabiu Kwankwaso’s best interests to run as Peter Obi’s running partner in the 2023 elections on behalf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
Who would be a candidate’s running partner if both parties merged for the elections has been a topic of discussion. In an interview he gave on July 3rd, Kwankwaso ruled out the prospect of him challenging Peter Obi for the vice presidency.

This evening, the party chairman was quoted as saying that it would be in Kwankwaso’s best interests to run with Peter Obi, who is “the man of the moment” and the head of the Labor party.
