At the start of August, Israeli troops arrested the leader of Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) in Judea and Samaria (West Bank), Bassem Saadi. The arrest sparked further fighting between PIJ and Israel in the Gaza Strip. “The flare-up left 49 Palestinians dead, including the militant group’s top two commanders and 10 other fighters, before an Egyptian-brokered cease-fire took effect.”
But ceasefires have never been lasting amid the Palestinian “resistance” against Israel, which is really a jihad against the Jewish state. But the world largely ignores history and pursues a fallacious “peace process” while the Palestinians are actually seeking a one-state solution (supported openly by Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib), which means the total destruction of Israel.
Amine Ayoub asks in the Jerusalem Post: Are Israel’s enemies becoming more jihadist? Ayoub points out:
Israel has been attacked by Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad numerous times and now they’re taking inspiration from ISIS for their attacks.
Even prior to the founding of Israel, Islamic supremacists sought to prevent Jews from settling in their historic lands, and when they couldn’t prevent it, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem allied with Hitler to murder Jews during the Holocaust. The day Israel was founded, the surrounding Arab nations declared jihad war against it. Nothing has changed in the goal to obliterate Israel from the River to the Sea.
What has changed, however, in recent times is the emboldening of Israel’s enemies, most prominently Iran. Israel’s enemies are encouraged by a weakened America. Add in the disastrous Iran deal, which will serve to enable Iran to boost its proxies in a renewed jihadist gang-up against Israel.
The Secretary-General of Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Ziyad al-Nakhaleh, has stated that said PIJ received “direct orders from the late Iranian Quds force commander Qassem Soleimani up until his assassination in a US airstrike last year, and that rockets supplied by the Iranians were used to attack Israel.”
Iran-supported PIJ is now in a confident mood, parading “life-sized replicas of their rockets” in the streets in Gaza as the Palestinians continue to scream victimhood, and the media focuses on the numbers of deaths on both sides as opposed to asking which side is at fault. The reason that there are more deaths on the Palestinian side is that Israel has far greater military sophistication, which has been mandatory for it to develop, given decades of jihadist determination to destroy it. Nor does Israel use human shields or the death of its people as a political propaganda tool, as do the Palestinians. And the propaganda has been working.

Dozens of Islamic Jihad militants displayed life-sized replicas of their rockets during a parade in the Gaza Strip on Wednesday, in a show of defiance after three days of heavy fighting with Israel earlier this month.
The flare-up left 49 Palestinians dead, including the militant group’s top two commanders and 10 other fighters, before an Egyptian-brokered cease-fire took effect. The militants fired some 1,100 rockets, but no one on the Israeli side was killed or seriously wounded.
It was the deadliest exchange of fire since last year’s war between Israel and Hamas, the militant group that has ruled Gaza for the last 15 years — and which did not take part in the latest fighting.
The militants drove pick-up trucks with different sizes of rocket replicas and posters of their slain commanders. People lined the streets, throwing flowers.
Israel and Western countries consider both Hamas and Islamic Jihad to be terrorist groups because they have carried out scores of deadly attacks over the years targeting Israeli civilians……
