The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Osun State August 15 governorship election, Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, has received the support and prayers of the Muslim organisation, Nasrul-Lahi-l-Fatih Society (NASFAT), ahead of the election.
On Sunday, NASFAT held a special prayer for the Osun APC guber candidate at the NASFAT Asiwaju Khamis Olatunde Badmus (NAKOB) Central Mosque, Dagbolu, Osogbo, the Osun State capital.
Vice President II of NASFAT worldwide, Ajiroba Maruf Adedokun, clarified that while NASFAT does not belong to any political party, the organisation organised the prayer for Oyebamiji because he is one of its founding members.
“The reason we organised the prayer for Alhaji Munirudeen Oyebamiji is that he is one of our founders, and we want to support him as an individual, not a political party,” he said, wishing the guber candidate well in the coming election.
Adedokun appealed to NASFAT members to ensure a peaceful election on Saturday, urging everyone to conduct themselves with decorum.

Oyebamiji expressed gratitude to NASFAT members and leaders from Lagos, Osun, Oyo, and Ogun for the prayers.
“This is the first time NASFAT is organising such an event for anyone. This gladdens my heart, and it is a signal that I will be the governor of Osun State,” he said.
The guber candidate assured that, if elected governor of the state, his administration would prioritise good governance by putting the people first, irrespective of their religions.
Oyebamiji appealed to the people of the state to ensure that the election is peaceful and also to come out en masse to cast their votes.
At the event, Oyebamiji’s wife, Sekinat, financially empowered some Osun NASFAT members from different branches of the society, including Osogbo, Ikirun, Ede, Ile-Ife, Iwo, Modakeke, Ilesha, Ejigbo, Iree, Ikire, and several others.
