The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, received in audience today, the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Ambassador Arief Havas Oegroseno.
The meeting provided Nigeria and Indonesia an opportunity to review their longstanding cordial relations, while exploring avenues for further bilateral collaboration in energy security, critical minerals development, agriculture, manufacturing, education and other areas of mutual interest.
The two countries discussed the potential for enhanced cooperation in counter-terrorism, de-radicalisation, intelligence sharing and maritime security. They also reaffirmed their commitment to promoting understanding and enhancing collaboration on issues of global significance at multilateral levels.
Nigeria and Indonesia share very cordial and friendly relations, anchored on mutual respect, shared interest and constructive engagement at bilateral and multilateral levels.
The Federal Government of Nigeria looks forward to sustained engagement with Indonesia towards further translating the longstanding friendship between the two countries into tangible outcomes that advance their shared socio-economic and developmental aspirations.
