NDLEA recovers rifles, ammunition, meth in Jos raid

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has recovered assorted rifles and ammunition, along with illicit drugs from the residence of 45-year-old Christian Chukwudi Uju at Rukuba Road, Jos, Plateau State.

NDLEA spokesperson Femi Babafemi disclosed this in a statement issued on Sunday.

He said the recovery followed a raid of the residence on Thursday 8th October.

According to Babafemi, items seized during the raid include 47 grams of methamphetamine, two pump action rifles, one locally made gun, 199 live cartridges, five rounds of 7.62mm and one round of 9mm ammunition.

Commending the officers and men of the agency for the recovery, Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of NDLEA, Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (rtd) enjoined them to sustain their drug control efforts.
