The National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has commenced an orientation and revalidation exercise for beneficiaries of the RHEI 3 programme across the three senatorial districts of Oyo State.
Speaking at the event, the Director-General of the NDE, Silas Ali Agara, said the exercise was part of efforts to ensure the effective implementation of the programme.
Agara, who was represented by the NDE Coordinator in Oyo State, Mr Oke Paul Adegboye, said the exercise would provide beneficiaries with relevant information about the programme, its objectives, requirements and available opportunities.
During the orientation, the beneficiaries were sensitised to the importance of active participation, discipline, commitment and compliance with the programme’s guidelines.
The revalidation exercise was also designed to verify the beneficiaries’ details and ensure that only eligible persons participated in the programme.
Officials from the NDE’s four core programme departments urged the beneficiaries to take advantage of the training and other support offered under RHEI 3.
They said the initiative was designed to equip participants with relevant skills and improve their prospects for sustainable livelihoods and employment.
The exercise brought together beneficiaries, trainers, other stakeholders and officials from the Small Scale Enterprises Department, Vocational Skills Development Department, Rural Employment Promotion Department and Special Public Works Department.
The NDE reaffirmed its commitment to the successful implementation of RHEI 3 and ensuring that beneficiaries derived maximum value from the intervention.
It also urged the participants to be good ambassadors of the programme.
